God that's a great question. Yes.

How is social media changing news?

Social media is the strongest branding asset we as media companies have, therefore it must be carefully nurtured and cultivated.

Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

Kermit the Frog, lead reporter on News Flash

What does it mean to be a journalist?

To be a journalist, you must have a gift for writing and telling a story. To be a great journalist, you must have a gift for thinking.

What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?

The NYT Innovation Report as #newsporn

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

Email always, never phone.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Google Drive for nearly everything

Yes, I was editor in chief of the Lake Highlands Fang. And get this, we called ourselves Fangsters.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

My next story.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

This world is small. Remember every single person you took a journalism class with, attended a journo conference or sat next to in court.

10pm at night when I'm reading emails and particularly responsive--or drunk.
