‘A flexible approach incorporating both in-person and telehealth visits’ emerged as the core category that encompassed all three subcategories of (1) elements of in-person outpatient palliative care: building interpersonal connections and trust (2) elements of telehealth palliative care: efficiency, comfort and independence and (3) patient-preferred circumstances for in-person or telehealth visits.

The weekend of March 9, the Canadian Blood Services put out a call for 10,000 blood donors to come forward. A large number of donors was reportedly needed to help the service top up their blood supply for the spring, after a particularly hard winter which depleted them. According to Canadian Blood Services, there’s a 50% chance that you or someone you know will need a blood transfusion at some point in your life. This statistic makes the prospect of donation personal.

When I first made an Ancestry.ca account, it was for a high school class where we had to build a family tree. When I made it, I added the few family members I knew about; my parents, my grandparents and my few aunts and uncles. I stopped there, logged off and didn’t think about my family tree for a few years. In 2017, I started watching a lot of a show called Long Lost Family (you should watch it too), and in between tears, I became interested in tracking down my own family.
