Tribeca clock tower penthouse sells for $16M

A penthouse in the clock tower at 108 Leonard Street finally sold for $16.2 million. The triplex atop the Tribeca building, once the headquarters of New York Life Insurance, closed after finding a buyer in October, according to Elena Sarkissian, one of the agents representing sales at the project. The deal works out to roughly $1,800 per square foot.

New dev deals sink as Manhattan luxury contends with shrinking pipeline

Manhattan is logging fewer inked deals for luxury new development properties. Over the last four weeks, buyers have signed just 12 contracts to purchase sponsor units in the borough asking $4 million or more, a significant drop-off from the decade average of 28 for the same period, according to a report from Olshan Realty.
