Twitter is the best source for information still, though journalism-related Facebook groups I've joined are interesting too.
Why did you become a journalist?
Writing was all I ever wanted to do as a job. Music, film, books and travel were all I wanted to do in my free time. Boom.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Anytime
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That it's pure fun. I love my assignments, but also, my brain runs at a million miles an hour in work mode.
