4. Materials and Methods In this section we discuss the data we have used in our study, the steps we implemented, and visualize the results of those steps. 4.1. Dataset We have used the ISIC 2016 dataset [9] to train the segmentation model. We have used 900 skin lesion images and their respective masks to train the U-Net segmentation model. We have used 379 skin lesion images and their masks to test our segmentation model.
