In this study, we demonstrate the excitation and manipulation of chiral quasi-bound states in the continuum (quasi-BICs) by introducing geometric asymmetry—specifically, by rotating a structural unit within dual magnetic plasmonic vertical split-ring resonators (VSSRs). Numerical simulations reveal that precise control over the rotation angle enables continuous modulation of the quasi-BIC’s radiative loss.
Quasi-bound states in the continuum (quasi-BICs) in all-dielectric metasurfaces offer a promising approach to achieving high quality $(\!Q)$ factor resonances with enhanced light–matter interactions.
Quasi-bound states in the continuum (quasi-BICs) in all-dielectric metasurfaces provide a promising route to realizing ultra-high Q resonances. However, the excitation and tunability of toroidal dipole (TD)-induced quasi-BICs remain challenging.
