On 29 January 2025, the Supreme Court in H Anjanappa & Ors. Vs A. Prabhakar & Ors. With H. Anjanappa and Ors. Vs. Beena Anthony and Ors [1]  while dismissing an application for condonation of delay in filing an appeal against an order passed by the Karnataka High Court summarised the legal principles governing the grant of leave to file an appeal in the context of an application for impleadment by a third party to a property dispute.

In Munish Kumar Gupta vs M/s Mittal Trading Co. (unreported judgment dated 30.4.2024 in SLP (criminal) no. 3040 of 2023), the Supreme Court examined whether an amendment could be made to a complaint filed under Section 138 after the stage of recording evidence was completed.
