1 Introduction As pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a refractory cancer with a poor prognosis, the best way to improve prognosis is through early detection. However, useful biomarkers have not yet been established. Although CA19-9 has been used clinically, its sensitivity in Stage I PDAC is low at approximately 50% [1]. Additionally, 5%–10% of the general population lacks Lewis enzymes, which can cause false-negative CA19-9 results [2].
