Bhopal, Sept. 3 -- A self-styled 'aghori' who has been active on social media, Kali Nand Giri, has been arrested after she was filmed eating human flesh from a burning funeral pyre in Ujjain district, a police officer said on Thursday. Ujjain superintendent of police Pradeep Sharma said a case was registered under Section 301 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) on a complaint by Vishnunath Maharaj, who lives at the cremation ground in Ujjain.

Twisha faced 'sustained psychological harm' from husband, mother-in-law: CBI chargesheet

India, Aug. 18 -- Former actor-model Twisha Sharma died by suicide in May this year after facing sustained mental torture by her husband Samarth Singh and mother-in-law Giribala Singh, a former district judge, according to a charge sheet filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Twisha, 33, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her marital home in Bhopal on May 12, just five months after her marriage to Samarth, who is also a lawyer.
