Stable Quantum Dot Light-Emitting Diodes Compatible With Household Alternating Current Electricity
1 Introduction Quantum dot light-emitting diodes (QLEDs) have attracted considerable attention as a potential solution for next-generation displays and solid-state lighting owing to their high luminous efficiency, excellent color purity, and tunable emission spectra [1-3]. Like conventional LEDs, QLEDs are p-n diodes that can only operate under direct current (DC) due to their unidirectional charge transport characteristics.

Concise synthesis and strain-release diversification of bridgehead-substituted [2]-ladderanes
Abstract Strained hydrocarbons offer privileged platforms for accessing otherwise elusive reactivity and molecular architectures. Among these, [2]-ladderane scaffolds hold considerable promise, yet modular access to diversely functionalized derivatives remains a major challenge. Here we report a concise and scalable strategy for the efficient synthesis of bridgehead-substituted [2]-ladderanes from readily available precursors.

Micrometer-scale-thick quantum-dot LEDs with notably enhanced stability and ultrahigh brightness
Abstract The thickness of quantum-dot light-emitting diodes (QLEDs) is typically limited to around 100 nm, which could lead to the formation of short-circuit paths that ultimately reduce the device performance. Here, we develop micrometer-scale-thick QLEDs by using extremely conductive ZnMgO as an electron transport layer.
Face-to-face integrated tandem quantum-dot LEDs with high performance and multifunctionality - Light: Science & Applications
Abstract The realization of solution-processed tandem quantum-dot LEDs (QLEDs) remains a technical challenge due to the limitations of inefficient interconnect layer and the damage caused by multiple solution processes. Here, we develop a high performance tandem QLED by face-to-face integrating a top-emitting QLED with a transparent QLED.

Tracing the electron transport behavior in quantum-dot light-emitting diodes via single photon counting technique - Nature Communications
Abstract The electron injection and transport behavior are of vital importance to the performance of quantum-dot light-emitting diodes. By simultaneously measuring the electroluminescence-photoluminescence of the quantum-dot light-emitting diodes, we identify the presence of leakage electrons which leads to the discrepancy of the electroluminescence and the photoluminescence roll-off. To trace the transport paths of the leakage electrons, a single photon counting technique is developed.
Very Stable and Efficient Tandem Quantum-Dot Light-Emitting Diodes Enabled by IZO-Based Interconnecting Layers
Theoretically, tandem quantum-dot light-emitting diodes (QLEDs) hold great promise for achieving both high efficiency and high stability in display applications. However, in practice, their operational stability remains considerably inferior to that of state-of-the-art devices.
Household alternating current electricity plug-and-play quantum-dot light-emitting diodes - Nature Communications
Abstract As an intrinsically direct current device, quantum-dot LED cannot be directly driven by household alternating current electricity. Thus, a driver circuit is required, which increases the complexity and cost. Here, by using a transparent and conductive indium-zinc-oxide as an intermediate electrode, we develop a tandem quantum-dot LED that can be operated at both negative and positive alternating current cycles with an external quantum efficiency of 20.09% and 21.15%, respectively.

Electron‐induced Degradation in Blue Quantum‐Dot Light‐Emitting Diodes
The poor stability of blue quantum-dot (QD) light-emitting diodes (B-QLEDs) hinders their application in displays. To improve the stability of B-QLEDs, the degradation mechanism should be revealed. Here, we investigate the degradation mechanism of B-QLEDs by monitoring the changes occurring in the QDs and the hole transport layers (HTL) during device operation, respectively. We reveal that the accumulation of electrons within the QDs is responsible for the degradation of the devices.

Highly Efficient Top‐Emitting Quantum‐Dot Light‐Emitting Diodes with Record‐Breaking External Quantum Efficiency of over 44.5%
Abstract Top-emitting (TE) quantum-dot light-emitting diodes (QLEDs) can exhibit higher light outcoupling efficiency (OCE) compared to bottom-emitting (BE) QLEDs due to the eliminated substrate mode and enhanced microcavity effect. In this study, TE QLEDs with an OCE of over 45% are realized by simultaneously optimizing the thicknesses of both indium-zinc-oxide (IZO) phase tuning layers and IZO top transparent electrodes.

Intramolecular C(sp3)-H Bond Oxygenation by Transition‐Metal Acylnitrenoids
Abstract This study demonstrates for the first time that easily accessible transition‐metal acylnitrenoids can be used for controlled direct C(sp3)‐H oxygenations. Specifically, a ruthenium catalyst activates N‐benzoyloxycarbamates as nitrene precursors towards regioselective intramolecular C−H oxygenations to provide cyclic carbonates, hydroxylated carbamates, or 1,2‐diols. The method can be applied to the chemoselective C−H oxygenation of benzylic, allylic, and propargylic C(sp3)−H bonds.

Origins of Selective Formation of 5-Vinyl-2-methylene Furans from Oxyallyl/Diene (3+2) Cycloadditions with Pd(0) Catalysis
The (3+2) cycloadditions between electron-deficient Pd-oxyallyls and conjugated dienes have been investigated with density functional theory calculations. A stepwise mechanism with C–C bond formation occurring first is supported by computations. The key electron-withdrawing ester substituent on the Pd-oxyallyl species decreases the migratory insertion barrier by both lowering the LUMO energy and enabling a less-strained six-membered coordination mode.
Catalytic Asymmetric Staudinger-aza-Wittig Reaction for the Synthesis of Heterocyclic Amines
Many natural products and medicinal drugs are heterocyclic amines possessing a chiral quaternary carbon atom in their heterocyclic ring. Herein, we report the first catalytic and asymmetric Staudinger–aza-Wittig reaction for the desymmetrization of ketones. This highly enantioselective transformation proceeds at room temperature to provide high yields—even on multigram scales—of nitrogen heterocycles featuring a chiral quaternary center.
