Uncertainty relations in pre- and postselected systems

|
By Anushakti Nagar, A Ci, Chhatnag Road, Sibasish Ghosh
| Physical Review B
In this work, we derive Robertson-Heisenberg–type uncertainty relation for two incompatible observables in a pre- and postselected (PPS) system. The newly defined standard deviation and the uncertainty relation in the PPS system have physical meanings which we present here. We demonstrate two unusual properties in the PPS system using our uncertainty relation.

| Physical Review B
Abstract Incompatibility and nonlocality are not only of foundational interest but also act as important resources for quantum information theory. In the Clauser-Horne-Shimony-Holt (CHSH) scenario, the incompatibility of a pair of observables is known to be equivalent to Bell nonlocality. Here, we investigate these notions in the context of qubit channels.
