Simon Gibbs’s Biography

I write long-form narrative travel shaped by time, distance and encounter.

My work follows slow journeys, where people and place shape one another, and separation gives way to something shared.

Drawn to remote and marginal landscapes, I often travel on foot over long distances, documenting extended journeys through sparsely inhabited regions. I’m interested in how movement changes our experience of silence, and how silence reshapes what it means to belong.
