England boss Thomas Tuchel hailed Harry Kane as an “absolute leader” after the captain's “complete performance” as the Three Lions opened their World Cup campaign with a 4-2 win over Croatia. Tuchel was effusive in his praise of Kane as well as fellow goalscorers Jude Bellingham and Marcus Rashford, with Bellingham putting England back in front after the first half ended 2-2 and substitute Rashford adding the gloss to a fine second half display.
