Seasonal influenza (flu) vaccination uptake in frontline healthcare workers in NHS trusts fell to 42.8% in England for the winter season 2023 to 2024 (UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), 2024). This was the third consecutive season to show a decrease in the vaccination of frontline healthcare workers since the COVID-19 pandemic. It is also the lowest uptake since the 2010–2011 season (UKHSA, 2024).
