How is social media changing news?
Social media makes it easier than ever to highlight stories that would otherwise be ignored.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
I prefer to be reached out to via email, and be able to have back and forth on what people are looking for.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Otter.ai, Adobe Audition, Lumen5, WordPress
What's your favorite social network?
I like Tumblr, it gives me the most space to ramble.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No, unfortunately I was too busy to do the school newspaper.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Don't be afraid to just reach out and ask people. If they don't want to talk to you, that's their problem.
What's your favorite drink?
I love a good hot chocolate
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Probably on the couch, reading or playing games.
