Popular Summary Qubits—the building blocks of quantum computers—are famously sensitive to noise. For this reason, many of the leading candidates for quantum computer architectures are protected from the external noisy world by shielded environments cooled to ultralow temperatures below . This scenario poses the following fundamental question. If the computer is perfectly isolated, how can we send and receive information to enable addressability and qubit-specific measurement?
