Until recently, Brits traveling with a pet to the European Union (of which they were a part before 2020’s Brexit) could do so easily enough with an EU pet passport, a travel document specifically for cats, dogs, and ferrets. (Sorry, every other animal.) However, as of April 2026, that’s no longer the case for British pet owners.
