What's your favorite social network?

Twitter, but mainly because so many editors and writers are there. I try not to get too entangled!

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

I wrote about a man who was exonerated after serving 13 years for a rape he didn't commit. Bringing his story to the public was important.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

My advice is to think broadly about who you want to work for. Validation doesn't come just from writing for the famous outlets.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

I have a weekly radio show (music), so I love going out to see bands.

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

I love reading New York magazine and Vulture. Great criticism, especially!
