Abstract Background This study aimed to describe the yield of tuberculosis (TB) disease among household contacts (HHC) of individuals with bacteriologically confirmed and unconfirmed pulmonary TB, to estimate the prevalence of TB infection using Interferon Gamma Release Assay (IGRA), and to identify factors associated with IGRA positivity. Methods We conducted a pragmatic, cross-sectional study in five operational districts between February 2023 and April 2024.

Abstract Early neonatal infections caused by extended-spectrum-beta-lactamase-producing Enterobacterales (ESBL-PE) are prevalent in low- and middle-income countries, posing significant treatment challenges. This study investigates ESBL-PE colonization in 499 mother-neonate pairs from Madagascar and Cambodia, with stool samples collected at delivery and from neonates during the first three days of life.

In early 2020, the Medical Biology Laboratory of the Pasteur Institute of Cambodia isolated an unusually high number of fluoroquinolone-resistant Salmonella enterica subspecies enterica serovar Paratyphi A strains during its routine bacteriological surveillance activities in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
