Abstract China faces widespread soil arsenic pollution caused by intensified industrial and agricultural activities, the impacts of which, however, have never been evaluated at the national scale. In this study, we developed a machine-learning model built on 3,524 surveys, representing over one million soil samples, to generate annual maps of arsenic concentration in China’s surface soils for the period 2000–2040.

Pillar[5]arenes: a New Class of AIEgen Macrocycles Used for Luminescence Sensing of Fe3+ Ion Herein, we will report an unusual light-emitting behavior of the homo- and copillar[5]arenes (MeP5, EtP5, PrP5, BuP5, DBuP5 and DBP5) with combinations of alkoxy functionality. Our investigations revealed that the emission of these pillar[5]arenes was highly enhanced in aggregate state.
