The Gund Company, maker of composite materials for electrical systems, engines and other mechanical and industrial equipment, is planning a significant expansion of its Waukesha facility. The St. Louis, Missouri-based company is planning to add a 110,000-square-foot addition to its existing 65,000-square-foot building, located at 809 Philip Dr. in Waukesha. Watertown-based Fisher Barton, a manufacturer of blades, metal coatings, bronze gear components and other industrial parts, has begun its transition into an employee stock ownership program. Included in its newly established ESOP are 525 eligible employees across its United States locations, including facilities in Watertown, Waukesha, Sun Prairie and Loves Park, Illinois. The company has roughly 425 employees in Wisconsin and 100 in Illinois.

New Berlin-based IEWC is poised for growth with added operations, organic expansion and a workforce build-out. Since April 2025, the employee-owned cable distributor has debuted control panel assembly operations at its New Berlin facility, following the acquisition of Sussex-based Bevco Engineering, and added 90 new jobs in Wisconsin.
