This is an analytical study which represents theoretical examination of pulsatile flow of blood in a stenosed artery under the external influence of body acceleration assumed to be Newtonian in nature. Although, blood exhibits non-Newtonian characteristics in smaller vessels, its behaviour in large arteries under high shear rates reasonably can be approximated by Newtonian model. In this analysis, the arterial segment is modeled as a rigid, axisymmetric tube with a mild symmetric stenosis.
