(WICS/WRSP) SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) — The City of Springfield is advancing their renewal of Flock camera usage. This following around 30 minutes of discussion with the Springfield police chief. The majority of the conversation around the ordinance was about how the data collected by the cameras was used. The Committee of the Whole wanted assurances and clarification on who has access to the data gathered by the cameras.

(WICS/WRSP) — Three hundred teenagers and adult volunteers from multiple states can be seen in Lincoln over the next week, as they help repair, build, and paint various properties for people who may not otherwise had been able to do it. This is from a partnership between Community Action Partnership Central Illinois (CAPCIL) and Group Mission Trips. This is the third time the workcamp has come to town, and Todd Henry has helped lead the charge.
