What was your first job as a journalist?
I worked as an intern at the Fiji Sun. First paid job was as a proofreader for the Sunday Observer in New Delhi, India.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes, I learned to type on a typewriter when I was 11. My mom thought it was a handy skill to acquire and she was right!
How is social media changing news?
Every way imaginable - and unimaginable.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Kermit the Frog.

The ones I spend the most time on are Twitter and Facebook.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
In the Fiji Islands, we didn't have high school newspapers, so I worked as an intern at the Fiji Sun, a local tabloid in the capital, Suva.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
"We do some jobs for money and some for the honor and privilege of doing the work. If we get to do both, we're lucky." - @rebnorman
