Background and Purpose Outcome measures are designed to identify functional mobility issues, safety concerns, and areas for intervention. While gait and balance are often evaluated separately, they interact significantly. Understanding how various outcome measures relate to gait performance may allow for more targeted interventions.

1 INTRODUCTION Universities have seen substantial increases in stress and anxiety in their students in recent years1, 2 as have graduate healthcare programmes.3, 4 Stress and anxiety, two common student mental health concerns, can result in decreased academic performance and poor retention.5 To cope, students may utilise negative health behaviours involving exercise, diet, and substance use choices,6 creating a vicious cycle of increasing stress.
