1 INTRODUCTION We study how personal events related to the date of birth affect retail investors' trading activity. Over the last few decades, the literature has provided compelling evidence that actual investor behaviour diverges from the predictions of classical rational financial models. Important biases have been described, including investor overconfidence, familiarity and home biases, the disposition effect, and limited attention, among others.
