She has been a breaking news reporter and producer at the Arizona Daily Star, where she reported in Spanish and English. She is also a Maynard 200 fellow, of the Maynard Institute, which focuses on building newsrooms of diversity, equity and belonging. She is a graduate of the University of Arizona, Tucson. It means we hold taxpayer-funded organizations accountable, we share stories that connect us as humans and teach us more about our world.
Why did you become a journalist?
I'm naturally curious and empathetic, love to learn, love listening to and telling stories.
