I am looking forward to hosting this event on October 12th 2024 – looking at the many benefits of growing perennial veg and other edibles. Part of a series of events organised in Wales by the Hope Garden. The event is free to attend. It is located in a village close to Lampeter in Ceredigion, and places are limited, so please make sure you’re able to get there before booking.

Maddy Harland, PM‘s editor, gives a tour of her small, no dig garden, on a woodland edge. Filmed in August, Maddy explains how her raised veggies beds produce a modest amount of food for most of the year plus culinary herbs and apples and gooseberries. There are plenty of flowers mixed in with the veg, so much so that there are very few pests.

This month I will be giving workshops, talks and demos at RHS Wisley, Harrogate Flower Show, the Permaculture Festival and running courses at my homestead.
