Dear Her Campus community, When we launched HerCampus.com to the world 15 years ago today — September 16, 2009 — as college women ourselves, we set out to create something that would amplify the voices of our peers and serve as a launching pad for the next generation of student journalists.

We asked and Gen Z answered. In a September 2022 survey, 1,115 young people told Her Campus what they really think about abortion, birth control, and reproductive rights in the wake of Roe v. Wade being overturned. In this project, we’re amplifying those voices, and putting a spotlight on what they hope — and fear — for the future. Abortion. Birth Control. Reproductive Rights. Five years ago, shortly after Donald Trump was elected president, Her Campus embarked on a project to uncover how people in college felt about their reproductive rights — a topic that had been brought to the national forefront, but a conversation students had been largely left out of.
