U.S. Rep. Joaquin Castro held the joint press conference in Austin to call for reinstating the flu vaccine mandate for military servicemembers. At a joint press conference, Democratic U.S. Reps. Joaquin Castro, Gil Cisneros and Chrissy Houlahan introduced an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that would reinstate the mandate requiring service members to get the flu vaccine.

Texas Democrats added a data center moratorium to the party platform at its biennial convention in Corpus Christi’s Hilliard Center over the weekend. During last weekend’s biennial Texas Democratic Party convention, delegates approved a platform calling for a pause on new data centers until stronger state regulations are in place.
