What would it feel like to jump out of a plane, free falling through the sky and speeding down toward Wisconsin’s farmland, I wondered. Would I get the stomach drop feeling I fear when I get on a rollercoaster? Would I regret my choices in the air, the plane’s engine too loud to hear my own thoughts? I’ve read that many first-time skydivers explain the feeling of free falling as “floating.” To me, that gave me comfort. How could something so extreme be described so simply?

Abstract Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is characterized by symptoms including hypervigilance, intrusive memories, and sleep disturbance. Insomnia and nightmares are among the most common and clinically important sleep-related symptoms in PTSD, yet effective and well-tolerated pharmacotherapies remain limited. Suvorexant, a dual orexin receptor antagonist (DORA) approved for insomnia, represents a mechanistically distinct approach to traditional hypnotics.

Kringle is a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel newsroom delicacy. Something to celebrate? There's kringle. Want to say thank you? Bring kringle. Just want a fun treat? You get the idea. Naturally, as interns, we thought attempting to make it from scratch would win over the hearts of the entire team. How hard could it be? "We" being me, education intern Elena Metinidis, and suburbs intern Stephanie Perez. As amateur bakers, the kringle journey was intimidating, but we knew it would make a fun memory.
