Federal MPs Allegra Spender and Zali Steggall are the only members of the 'Community Strong Australia' party, the first formal alliance between any of the so-called 'teals' elected to parliament.

An Australian citizen with links to Islamic State, who had previously been banned from returning, will be allowed to come home. The so-called ISIS bride was blocked from getting on a plane to Australia with other women and children in February. The Federal Government says it could no longer legally refuse the woman's application to return.
