As The Clinical Teacher (TCT) celebrates its 20th birthday this year, there is something about the doughty little journal that resonates with its readership. Much like the readers on whom the journal is focused—clinicians who teach—TCT is a practical, hands-on sort of publication that is committed to bringing about changes to improve performance.

1. Introduction Fish are among the most important renewable resources on the planet ( Rashid Sumaila et al. 2016 ). It is estimated that the world per capita fish consumption has more than doubled, from 9.9 kg per person in the 1960s to more than 20 kg per person in 2016 ( FAO 2016 ). However, with increasing worldwide populations, poor fisheries management, and negative climate effects, the sustainability of many fisheries is threatened ( Brander 2007 ; FAO 2016 ; Rashid Sumaila et al. 2016 ).
