Why did you become a journalist?
I've been obsessed with mags since my grandmother signed me up for Highlights when I was like 5.

Nope.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Oprah Winfrey cover feature for Horizons mag.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
The most enticing involved a two-week press trip to South Africa. The strangest was about vajazzling, or at least that was a memorable one.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
"Here's a doctor to discuss why cannabis is a dangerous ill of society" type BS.
What's your favorite drink?
I'm a red wine girl.

I subscribe to over 20 mags, and my fave varies month to month. Esquire was at the top of the list during the David Granger years.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That we're all cannabis. Sensi is a city lifestyle magazine, covering arts, culture, events, dining, and more—including, yes, cannabis.
