The deadline to register to vote in Arizona’s primary election is Monday, June 22. All registered voters can cast a ballot for the primary election. As voters prepare for this election season, here are some answers to frequently asked questions about Arizona’s primary election. A: July 21, 2026 June 22 is the voter registration deadline. June 24 early in-person voting begins. July 10 is the last day to request a ballot by mail. July 14 mail-in ballots should be sent back.

The North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park is out of the way. Six hours from Salt Lake, four-and-a-half from Las Vegas and nearly three-and-a-half from Flagstaff, only a small fraction of the millions of visitors who flock to the park each year make the detour. But the area has a powerful hold on those who love it. Just before 6 in the morning on opening day, nearly a dozen vehicles line up outside the park's gate.

VIEW LARGER The St. Francis Cooling Center offers some temporary relief for Tucson's homeless population from the summer's extreme weather. Tucson opened five cooling centers around the city today to help people get out of the heat. All are at city-owned public facilities close to SunTran bus routes. This year, the city is keeping them open through the end of September -- one month longer than previous years.
