48 volt battery packs
50.00 each 8 x 12 volt dc batteries in each tray. Used as reserve power in a data centre and switched out as part of yearly maintenance. Photo shows still has output of 51 + volts. These are rechargeable sealed lead acid type. Easy to dismantle and use as 12 volt power supply, or any other combination.
EX UHAUL MOVING VAN
10k Full Name steve paterson Location Walker Hook 2000 GMC 6500 chassis with 454 gas engine. 167000 miles = 268000 km. Van is partially converted including insulated ceiling, side door and rear ramp door. 24 foot box with 3' kick. Strong engine and auto transmission. I have used this truck as a warehouse for the past 6 years. Would make a good alternate to renting a sea can as you can move it yourself ( no special license needed ). Many possible uses.
heavy duty DOLLY
35.00 2 wheel versatile dolly that the wheels can be mounted sideways as well as frontwards. Handy if you move a lot of drywall or plywood. Has been re-enforced underneath to carry heavier loads. I no longer have use for it.
Density-dependent network structuring within and across wild animal systems - Nature Ecology & Evolution
|
Abstract Theory predicts that high population density leads to more strongly connected spatial and social networks, but how local density drives individuals’ positions within their networks is unclear. This gap reduces our ability to understand and predict density-dependent processes. Here we show that density drives greater network connectedness at the scale of individuals within wild animal populations.

Concerted genome expansion of heritable symbionts in an insect host
Abstract Maternally transmitted symbionts represent important components of arthropod biology, acting as both beneficial partners and as reproductive parasites. Their strict vertical transmission greatly reduces their effective population size, making selection less efficient and driving a pattern of molecular evolution where genome size reduces. Contrastingly, there are sporadic observations of genome expansion in symbionts from clades where the genome has previously reduced in size.

Ecological and evolutionary mechanisms driving within-patient emergence of antimicrobial resistance - Nature Reviews Microbiology
Abstract The ecological and evolutionary mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) emergence within patients and how these vary across bacterial infections are poorly understood. Increasingly widespread use of pathogen genome sequencing in the clinic enables a deeper understanding of these processes.
Superiority of chromosomal compared to plasmid-encoded compensatory mutations
Abstract Plasmids are important vectors of horizontal gene transfer in microbial communities but can impose a burden on the bacteria that carry them. Such plasmid fitness costs are thought to arise principally from conflicts between chromosomal- and plasmid-encoded molecular machineries, and thus can be ameliorated by compensatory mutations (CMs) that reduce or resolve the underlying causes.
Utilizing river and wastewater as a SARS-CoV-2 surveillance tool in settings with limited formal sewage systems - Nature Communications
Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly impacted health systems globally and robust surveillance has been critical for pandemic control, however not all countries can currently sustain community pathogen surveillance programs. Wastewater surveillance has proven valuable in high-income settings, but less is known about the utility of water surveillance of pathogens in low-income countries.

It is increasingly clear that rapid evolutionary dynamics are an important process in microbial ecology. Experimental evolution wherein microbial evolution is observed in real-time has revealed many instances of appreciable evolutionary change occurring on very short timescales of a few days or weeks in response to a variety of biotic and abiotic selection pressures.

Ethereum Sets Tentative January Goal for Next Blockchain Upgrade
Developers are eyeing January 16th as the date on which Constantinople, ethereum’s upcoming network hard fork, could launch. The upgrade for the world’s second-largest blockchain was originally targeted for November, bringing with it a host of design changes aimed at streamlining the platform’s code in a bid to boost performance. Yet the November launch window was ultimately due to unanticipated problems with the test release, necessitating a longer development period. While the Jan.
Seizing opportunities along the I-45 corridor

Corrine Brown: Decades of drama
U.S. Rep. Corrine Brown has spent decades in the public spotlight, fighting for her causes and weathering controversies. To recap: October 1982: Brown, a 35-year-old Florida Junior College faculty member, wins a seat in the Florida House of Representatives, following the example of a sorority sister, Gwen Cherry, the first black woman elected to that body. She’s reelected over and over after that.
Watch: Technician who worked on El Faro lifeboats testifies
A technician who worked on lifeboats the day the cargo ship El Faro left Jacksonville told Coast Guard investigators Thursday he talked with the crew about traveling with them if his job wasn’t done by sailing time. “I would have felt plenty safe with the guys and my equipment,” said Bruce Wagner, a service technician for Harding Safety Inc., who said he sails about three months per year on ships he’s servicing.
Rapid evolution of microbe-mediated protection against pathogens in a worm host
We tested whether E. faecalis resident within C. elegans evolved to protect against S. aureus infection where its host was challenged with the pathogen over 15 experimental host generations. Our experiments examined the following interaction: resident E. faecalis was allowed to evolve inside hosts in the presence/absence of a genetically fixed pathogen (supplied from ancestral culture each host generation; experimental procedure in Figure 1 ), and the properties of E.

Kroger’s expanded their store to become a Marketplace in the same neighborhood with the Starbucks to soon become a wine bar in the evening after applying for their beer and wine license, one of the seventy stores chosen to rollout the evening conversion nationally. Approximately five miles east on League City Parkway, Hwy 96 Kroger has also broken ground on another Kroger Marketplace to serve the ever growing planned communities in the west part of League City.
