A federal inmate pleaded guilty to being part of a fentanyl trafficking ring from prison using a smuggled cell phone. The inmate, Daniel Don Juan, directed a courier who was caught with seven kilograms of fentanyl destined for Jacksonville. Another co-conspirator, Lesly Anahi Baeza, also pleaded guilty and was alleged to have trafficked fentanyl from Mexico since 2022. Juan faces a minimum sentence of 15 years and up to life in prison for the new charge.
