Cybersecurity News: CISA’s Cisco deadline, China’s Mythos competitor, Amazon Q flaw

Following up on a story we covered in early June, CISA gave federal agencies until Sunday – yesterday – to patch a vulnerability in Cisco Unified Communications Manager Server. This CVE numbered vulnerability (CVE-2026-20230) involves server-side request forgery (SSRF) and is being actively exploited. The remediation is deemed urgent. Cisco released a patch on June 3. (BleepingComputer) This comes from Chinese cybersecurity vendor Qihoo 360.

Cybersecurity News: ShinyHunters hits MSG, Cal Water confirms no damage, CISA SASE guide

The infamous hacking group made an on June 12 that it had hacked Madison Square Garden data, and then threatened to expose more than 26 million records if no ransom was paid. It followed through on this threat four days later, exposing customer records, internal emails, celebrity contacts, and corporate data. According to the New York Times, multiple class action lawsuits have now been filed against the company.
