Area residents asked to conserve power in Columbiana COLUMBIANA, Ohio (WKBN)- With this heat wave, Columbiana residents are being asked to cut down on power usage this week by City officials. They are asking customers to conserve from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. from Tuesday through Friday of this week. Officials say that's the peak period for electric use, and the reduction would help cut down on electric rates. Participation is voluntary.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Ohio Department of Transportation is looking to completely remove the Ridge Avenue Bridge spanning I-680 in Youngstown. Officials want to remove the 63-year-old bridge, saying repairs would be too costly. Some of their concerns include structural deficiencies and a history of the bridge's beams getting hit.
