Introduction The World Health Organization’s (WHO) Global Action Plan for the Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases 2023–2030 has a target of halting the rise in the prevalence of people with overweight and obesity by 2030 [1]. To achieve this, the plan highlights the importance of strengthening the capacity of populations to make healthier choices through providing supportive environments [1].
