Why did you become a journalist?
I was being asked to write reviews for new album releases by PR teams from all over the world, it started with one and just grew from there.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I wrote a magazine / journal for my school, it was a task set by our teacher in primary 6, I was around 11 years old.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
There are many, one sticks out, I was asked to interview the legendary Irish singer-songwriter Paul Brady, he contacted me personally.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Get to the truth, get beyond the press release, find out about the real person.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Anytime really, I receive a lot of pitches from all over the world, and I go through my E-mails each day.
What's your favorite drink?
A whisky from the island of Islay, called Lagavulin
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
I walk for a couple of hours daily along hiking trails close to where I live in Ontario, Canada.
