Categories: The president of the university sat down with student press to answer questions April 9, 2025 University President Tania Tetlow addressed serious issues plaguing Fordham University and higher education in America at a meeting with the student press on April 8. Tetlow fielded questions on the student visa revocation of two Fordham students, the 4.65% tuition increase, and why Fordham students should practice civic engagement.

Fordham Lincoln Center’s beloved Argo Tea cafe will permanently close in May and be replaced by Saxbys, a fully student-operated coffee shop, in September. At Saxbys, students serve drinks as baristas and manage business operations behind the scenes. Gabelli students in managerial roles will receive academic credit in addition to being paid.

University President Tania Tetlow and Tokumbo Shobowale, senior vice president, CFO and treasurer, announced Travis Proulx as Fordham’s first vice president for external affairs, effective Jan. 21. The VP for external affairs will directly report to Shobowale according to the University-wide email that announced his appointment.
