It usually remains unspoken, but the reality is, there often are some decisions to make on our public transport systems as they provide services in tandem with private cars. We’re just so used to the idea of the two in mixed traffic that we seldom think we’ll come to a point of making decisions where they should pass through in our existing roads or which goes to which lane. But progress always brings changes, which, sometimes include some decisions not necessarily preferable to some.

I’ve written here before that humans have thousands of thoughts each day. We shouldn’t be looking for the exact or average number since we all have different thoughts anyway and each will have different thoughts daily, too. Let’s just say it runs into the tens of thousands. What are those thoughts? Each of us would have a different and unique answer to this, and as many as the number of people on earth.

There is yet again another initiative for putting up a rail service in Metro Cebu. This has not been taken up by the media yet and I doubt it will ever be unless the proponent is the usual kind that lacks the initiative of ensuring completed staff work first and depends on enticing media coverage before doing the necessary CSW. Four and a half decades of proposing, enticing, and promising for rail but failing to prove its efficacy to the people. Not that the people need to be convinced.
