EVs lead growth as new car sales rise again in July

New car registrations had another strong month in July, with numbers up by 12% compared with the same month last year. According to data published this week by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), both private customers and fleet registrations showed healthy growth – although private sales grew slightly faster. But, as has been the case for most of this year, that growth only came from certain specific areas.
