Discussion To our knowledge, this is the first longitudinal study exploring perinatal depressive symptoms—from late pregnancy, delivery, and return to work—which reports the period prevalence and incidence of perinatal depressive symptoms among pregnant working women in Asia. The importance of identifying risk factors for perinatal depressive symptoms among pregnant employees is evident.

However, studies were limited to retrospective chart review. This study aimed to investigate the association between dry eye and depressive symptoms in an older Asian population.
