I have been working as a correspondent in New Delhi for north-east newspaper. Before that, I was in kolkata working as legal correspondent for print media.
In my personal view, today in the hustle and bustle of information in name of news; somehow reporting has been missing. Readers don't able to get proper direction. Instead of guiding our readers to choose or select, media always tend to influence their news consumers/readers/viewers. New Media can be an alternative platform, but it also needs to have stringent guidelines. Then we can retain credibility of media.
In the age of corporate media, where news can be manufactured for vested interest and hobnobbing of political power and business magnates, 'proper information' will facilitate to everyone to get own rights and impeded honchos for any kind of wrong-doing.
SO, FOR SAKE OF JOURNALISM, WOULD LIKE TO WORK AS INFORMATION WORKER RATHER THAN JOURNALIST/MANAGING EDITOR/EDITOR-IN-CHIEF.
