Why did you become a journalist?
Reading newspapers, loudly reading the headlines were my favorite pastime in childhood. As a school news reader, I started reading news carefully and grew up aiming to be a reporter!
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Not a newspaper. I used to brief the front page stories of the newspapers for the morning assembly in school.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
When I broke the story of Karnataka's then Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's son Dr Yathindra bagging a tender to set up a private lab in a government hospital in Bengaluru. My investigative reports were followed by all media.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Ask your if your really passionate to follow news, meet people, respond to stories and yes, work for more than 12 hours a day!
