DebattØya-festivalen Øyafestivalen ble nylig kåret til «verdens grønneste festival», men er ikke særlig grønn. Eierselskapet KKR investerer milliarder i olje og gass, i tillegg til i våpen og israelske selskaper. KKR eier Superstruct, et selskap som eier rundt 80 europeiske festivaler, inkludert Øya og Palmesus. Festivaler som Sónar, Field Day og Mighty Hoopla har samme eiersituasjon og har allerede fått seg en knekk i år. Flere artister har trukket seg fra festivalene.
