Dr. Suren Kanayan, MD, PhD Administrative Manager, Central Hospital, Phnom Penh, Cambodia Clinician–Administrator: Bridging Global Evidence and Resource-Adaptive Care Dr Suren Kanayan, MD, PhD, is an obstetrician-gynecologist and healthcare administrator with more than two decades of clinical, academic, and leadership experience across Armenia, Singapore, and Cambodia. He currently serves as Administrative Manager at Central Hospital in Phnom Penh, where he leads service improvement initiatives across maternity, emergency, and inpatient care, develops resource-adapted clinical SOPs, and translates international guidelines into safe, practical care pathways for low-resource hospital settings. Dr Kanayan is an Associate Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and an active member of ISUOG, SMFM, Cochrane, ACHE, and HIFA. His work focuses on maternal health systems, quality improvement, and the real-world implementation of evidence-based guidance in resource-constrained environments.
