Abstract Trauma-associated sleep disorder is a proposed sleep disorder characterized by trauma-related nightmares, hyperarousal during sleep, and disruptive nocturnal behaviors following exposure to a traumatic event. Sleep problems are common after trauma, yet little is known about their prevalence among women in the general population. We aimed to estimate the prevalence of trauma-associated sleep disturbances (TASD) and identify associated factors in a large nationally representative cohort.

Research in context Evidence before this study We conducted a literature search on workplace sexual harassment and violence and health outcomes, using the following databases: Web of Science, PubMed, Sage Journals, Science Direct, and Google Scholar.

„Uppskriftin að prinsateppinu þekur heilar tvær blaðsíður og er engin umferð eins. Með tilhlökkun yfir því að taka á móti ungbarni inn í fjölskylduna var prinsateppi prjónað af kappi auk þess sem ég prjónaði heimferðarsett og annað teppi. Lítil stúlka kom svo í heiminn og var allt tilbúið fyrir dömuna,“ segir Hjördís. Þremur árum seinna var annað barn á leiðinni og þá fékk amman að prjóna blátt. „Ég var komin í æfingu með prinsateppið og auðvitað átti drengurinn að fá eins teppi, nema blátt.
